Ian Smith
CSCS, TSAC-F, USAW, MA Performance
Coach/Owner
Ian is a purposeful and passionate coach with a strong desire to help the athletes in his care grow beyond just reps and sets.

He currently holds a Master of Arts in Education from Western Colorado University and a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science from the University on Northern Colorado. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Licensed Professional Teacher. Coach Smith has worked with over a thousand tactical athletes and athletes from all sports ranging from youth to professional, including NFL & NFL Pro Day Prep, Colligate, Highschool and Middle School. During his time as the Platoon Sergeant of Q Battery 5/14 (HQ) he aided Marines with their physical preparedness as a Fitness Liaison. Ian has spoken at multiple conferences and professional developments on topics ranging from movement patterns, athlete development to personal health.

Hope Smith
Operations Manager/Owner
Prior to owning and operating Mountain Speed and Strength, Hope worked as a Licensed School Counselor in Thornton, CO. She holds a Master of Arts in School Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Hope has a passion for helping people in all facets of their life from mental health to physical fitness.
